  1. Its Smooth Non-Porous Surface provides little opportunity for the growth and development of algae. Thereby minimizing long hours of drudgery commonly associated with pool cleaning.
  2. More economical because it requires Less Chemicals to maintain proper water balance.
  3. Installation time of a Fiberglass Pool is relatively short and can be completed in a matter of days as compared to months for the average gunite or concrete pool.
  4. Fabrication of a Fiberglass Pool Shell requires hand-crafted laminations enabling the fabricator to exercise Rigid Quality Control. This results in a durable shell having approximately Ten Times the tensile strength and Seventeen Times the flexural strength of concrete.
  5. Premium quality Fiberglass Pools carry an Extended Warranty because of their structural superiority.
  6. Due to the Inherent Flexibility of One-Piece Fiberglass Pools, they possess a higher resistance to structural failure caused by shifting or unstable soil conditions and all types of climatic effects.
  7. Virtual elimination of major pool maintenance problems and expense such as re-plastering or vinyl liner replacement.
  8. Eliminates rough or pitted surfaces, common to concrete pools, that are responsible for skin abrasions on feet, knees, hips, shoulders and hands.
  9. Should any structural damage occur to the pool shell, complete repair can be easily made, restoring it to its original strength.
  10. The pool is a Permanent Home Improvement and yet the structural integrity of the pool shell is such that it can be moved from one location to another.

Why use Fiberglass?

In addition to being beautiful and luxurious, fiberglass pools save homeowners time and money over the life of the pool, with the major savings coming in reduced outlays for maintenance, pool chemicals and electricity. Homeowners who choose a fiberglass pool will save as much as 70 percent on chemicals and 30 percent on electricity costs.

Due to their sturdy fiberglass construction, fiberglass pools never need to be resurfaced. By contrast, a typical concrete pool will require periodic resurfacing, meaning extra outlays of cash for many years to come. The bottom line is that while a fiberglass pool may cost more up front than a vinyl or cement pool, homeowners will more than make up the difference in savings over the life of the pool.

The smooth fiberglass surface of fiberglass pools makes them easier and less expensive to maintain than concrete. They also never require acid washing, and unlike concrete pools with their porous surface, offer no haven for algae and other undesirable elements. This means fiberglass pools are also healthier than concrete pools.

The gel-coat surface is a polyester MPG-Isothalic resin with color pigment mixed in. This gel-coat is chemically bonded to the fiberglass and becomes an integral part of the pool. The 30-32 mill gel-coat finish is nonporous, chemically inert, and extremely resistant to acids and oxidizers. Algae cannot penetrate the finish, and any stains which may form on the gel-coat can easily be removed by adding a stain remover to the pool water.
